On November, 19 Apple pushed the Apple Watch users watchOS 8.1.1 update (build number: 19R580). According to the official information, the update adds SharePlay Fitness+ group exercises and other features and fixes an issue that could have caused the Apple Watch Series 7 to fail to charge as expected for some users.
Some Apple Watch Series 7 users have noticed that their devices are charging slowly, and this update should fix the bug that caused the problem.
Apple reveals on the official website that the update is only applicable to the Apple Watch Series 7 (GPS + Cellular Data) model, and other versions should not receive the update.
Apple rolled out a major version update to watchOS 8.1 last month, enhanced fall detection algorithms during physical training, support AirPods 3, and rolled out a series of improvements. This minor version of the watchOS 8.1.1 update is a minor patch for this version.
Users should be careful before installing the update need to make sure the Apple Watch is charging within the connection to a wireless LAN iPhone communication range.
