Samsung releasing a new December 2022 software update for Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic, which adds a new Ball Watch Face for the users. Notably, the Galaxy Watch 5 consumers have already installed this new Ball watch face on their wrist watch.
For your information, the December 2022 update has arrived with One UI build version R890XXU1GVK7 and owners of Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic will need to install a package of around 444.85 MB. The update is rolling out in South Korea at the moment.
Users will now get some more options of Watch Face to make their fitness tracker user interface more impressive. Interestingly, you can use these new Ball Watch Faces to cheer your favorite team in the FIFA World Cup 2022 by putting the flag on your watch face.
Other than the new Ball Watch Face, December 2022 update also optimizes the overall performance of your wristwatch and provides a more improved user experience than before. You will also notice a boosted running of your Galaxy Watch 4 after installing the latest version.
Before installing the update make sure your watch has a battery of at least 30%, and you will not be able to use your watch while installing this update, even for emergency calls. Some settings may also change and do not forget to keeep a backup of your data.
How to download and install the update
Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected Android smartphone. Now go to the Watch settings >> Watch software update option. If your watch displays a Home tab, swipe to and tap Watch software update. Finally, tap the Download and install option to start downloading the update.
