Windows 11 pre-installed Huawei MateBook D 16/16s will be launched in European market

Last month, Huawei released the MateBook D 16 and MateBook 16s equipped with 12th-generation Intel processors. This is only for the Chinese market, but Huawei plans to sell both products in Europe as well.

The two laptops were showcased at an event in Istanbul, Turkey. The Huawei Mate Xs 2 folding screen flagship, Huawei nova Y90 and Y70 (previously released) joined the exhibition including the Huawei MatePad Paper 10.3-inch e-ink tablet was also demonstrated.

The Huawei MateBook D 16 notebook features an aluminum body, is 18.4 mm thick, weighs 1.7 kg (3.75 lbs), and features a 16:10 IPS LCD (1920 x 1200 pixels, 142ppi) screen that supports 100% sRGB, 1200:1 Contrast ratio, and 300 nits brightness.

There are two choices of processors – Intel Core i5-12450H or Core i7-12700H. The former has UHD graphics (48 EU, 1.2GHz) and the latter has the more powerful Iris Xe graphics (96 EU, 1.4GHz). There is no discrete graphics version.

Huawei MateBook EThe laptop comes with 8GB or 16GB of RAM, 512GB (NVMe SSD) storage, a built-in 60Wh battery, and 2 USB-C ports for charging (1 is also DisplayPort). Plus, there’s 1 USB-A 3.2 Gen 1, 1 USB 2.0, 1 HDMI port, and a 3.5mm headphone/mic jack. The MateBook D 16 comes with a 65W power adapter and USB cable.

The Huawei MateBook 16s is another 16-inch Windows 11 laptop with a 3:2 (2520 x 1680) IPS LCD display that supports 100% sRGB, a higher contrast ratio of 1500:1, and is factory calibrated with an average deltaE of less than 1. The notebook is equipped with 12th generation Intel H-series processors and supports 40W TDP. Dual-channel memory and NVMe SSDs are also supported.
