Android 14 will not only bring significant changes for phones but tablets as well, and the list will begin with some stylus-specific features. According to the details, the US tech giant is working on improvements for better stylus support.
The well-known Android observer @MishaalRahman has recently shared a few inputs regarding user interface images. These snaps reflect that the Android 14 upgrade is readying useful stylus-related features, and will soon bump it on the surface.
Mishaal further noted that while connecting a stylus to your device on Android 14, and going to the “device details” page, you will be able to see new stylus-specific settings. Besides, there is a fresh shortcut to change the “default notes app” and a toggle to “ignore all stylus button presses”.
That’s not it! Google has also packed some optimizations that will enhance the stylus support for tablets. Eventually, we can find multiple buttons on the stylus with the names – Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, and Tail.
Notably, the tail button is not responding to the function of an eraser. Perhaps, a message in Android mentions setting a default app for notes. Thus, it could appear as a button for launching your notes app.
