Apple AirPods can automatically reject Find My feature if not used for a long time

iPhone custom audio setup for AirPods

Apple has recently released a new software update for AirPods 2, AirPods Pro, and AirPods Max three wireless headsets on October 5, which can be identified via the build version 4A400. This firmware brings a new function named ‘Find My’ to several headsets.

As a key feature of iOS 15, ‘Find My’ can use other people’s iPhones to create a network to help users find lost headphones.

How will it work:

If the device is within the Bluetooth signal range of the user’s mobile phone, the approximate location will be displayed and the AirPods headset will play a sound to help the user locate it.

If the location of the lost headset is too far from the device, Find My will display the last estimated location of the device.

A user reported that when someone is not connected to AirPods for some time, the phone will indicate that the separation alarm function of AirPods has been suspended to save power. If you need to turn on this feature, please reconnect the AirPods.

Aside from this, the notice appeared in the latest iOS 15.1 Developer Preview beta 4. It’s unclear how long Apple has said “recently.”
