Apple launched a new repair program for iPhone 6s and 6s Plus

Apple launched a new repair program for iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices may not power on due to a component that may fail.

Apple said, this issue only affects devices within a limited serial number range that were manufactured between October 2018 to August 2019.

If you believe you have experienced this issue, please use the serial number checker to see if your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus is eligible for repair, free of charge.

Apple reportedly told suppliers to increase iPhone 11 series production by up to 10%, or 8 million units

The program covers affected iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices for 2 years after the first retail sale of the unit. This worldwide Apple program doesn’t extend the standard warranty coverage of the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus.

Affected customers can contact Apple Support for a mail-in repair, visit an AASP, or visit an Apple retail store.
