After the Turkish lira’s exchange rate against the U.S. dollar plummeted and economic concerns increased, Apple resumed its sales in Turkey a few days after closing its sales operations. With the recovery of product sales, Apple has also substantially increased the prices of all its products in the country due to inflation.
On 23 November, Apple temporarily suspended the sale of its products in Turkey. Due to currency fluctuations in Turkey, at the time it was impossible to add any device to the shopping cart or make purchases in the Apple Store.

During the last week, the Turkish Lira was approximately equal to US$0.078. It declined by around 40% in 2021 and down 20% in the past few weeks. The lira has declined by 45 percent against the US dollar in the past year.
Now, Apple has reopened its online store sales in Turkey, presumably, in retail stores. According to reports, customers at the Apple Store in Istanbul, the country’s largest city, were also rejected this week.
