Strategy Analytics today released a report stating that the revenue of radio components will reach the highest level in history in 2020 and will continue to grow strongly.
The report pointed out that despite the new crown epidemic in the market in 2020, the market size of radio components for the cellular user equipment is still growing and will continue to grow until 2025.

An analyst said: “The semiconductor shortage may continue until 2022, which confirms strong potential demand. However, mobile phone manufacturers are facing supply constraints and may not be able to fully realize their mobile phone sales potential this year.
Including TSMC, UMC, GlobalFoundries Semiconductor foundries, including SMIC, Samsung Foundry, and compound semiconductor foundries, are all increasing their production capacity as soon as possible.”
The report predicts that strong demand for sub-6 and mmWave 5G radio frequency components, as well as new 5G opportunities beyond smartphones, will drive significant growth in the cellular wireless component market in the next few years.
