Fortnite’s upcoming Chapter 2 – Season 7 update is not just about bringing new features to the game. The Fortnite team announced that this new update will upgrade the game’s visuals for machines that can meet the system’s requirements.

Fortnite was a war royal, as most people now know. This has been done through various versions after several updates and Season 7 looks like one of the biggest volumes ever.

In a blog post describing the upcoming visual changes, Developer Epic confirmed that it will introduce players to better effects, better post-processing features, and shadow quality. The blog explains that the effects of explosions, fires, and thunder “look cool”, thanks to the bulbs in the visuals.

These updates mean that the settings of the “Epic” graphical mode require higher performance power to work better, while the “High” settings become the Pre-V17.00 Epic settings. For those who play Fortnite in low and medium settings, the modes remain the same with the release of the v17.00 update.

Epic Games has confirmed that this new Season 7 update will be released on Tuesday, June 8th. The theme of this new season is played out as an alien invasion. A promo video with ominous words is currently appearing on the Fortnite website.

Many teases for this alien invasion theme have popped up in the game itself as of late. Some Easter eggs have been placed throughout maps, with some players even being abducted by aliens at random locations.
