Galaxy Note 9 users continuously reporting issues with the display, unfortunately no solution yet

We recently reported that some Galaxy Note 9 users are experiencing major display issues since receiving the March 2020 security patch. Unfortunately, Samsung has not fully addressed the Galaxy Note 9 display issues over on their official support pages yet.

Here’s the list of eligible Samsung devices that will get the One UI 3.0/Android 11

To be specific, many Galaxy Note 9 users are continuously complaining over on the Samsung community forums about screen discoloration, overheating issues (and some of them also experienced decreased screen resolution) after updating to the March security update.

It seems Samsung is unaware of this serious display issue which affected several Galaxy Note 9 users globally. The company isn’t helpful either, Samsung is sending Galaxy Note 9 users toward a local service center.

Importantly, the most Galaxy Note 9 units are technically out of warranty, this would likely require users to pay repair costs. In addition, many Samsung repair centers are closed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The Galaxy Note 9 display issue is likely software related because it was introduced after a software update. The company should soon start rolling out a new software update with the fix for the display issue on the Galaxy Note 9. Why would anyone go to the service center for software issue?

There’s no permanent solution for this issue, but rebooting and factory resetting the devices seem to fix the issues temporarily.
