Shipments of the 5G-enabled smartphones business are set to grow in the coming years. This point of view is shared by experts from the analytical company Strategy Analytics, who prepared a document entitled “Global forecast of 5G business smartphones shipments for 2021-2026.”
According to the forecast, global shipments of 5G smartphones in the corporate segment will grow by 28% per year during the specified period. Strong growth is expected in China, India, Australia, South Korea, United Kingdom, France, Germany, and the United States.
Increased competition in the 5G Android segment, especially from Chinese vendors, will drive down the average selling price, which is expected to fall 23%. However, due to the growth in the number of sales, revenue will grow almost 10 times in the period from 2020 to 2026.
According to analysts, the 5G business smartphone market will be determined by the wider adoption of corporate mobile technologies and promising technologies, among which artificial intelligence, machine learning, augmented and virtual reality can be distinguished.
