Huawei introduced HMS (Huawei Mobile services) to replace the Google Mobile Services from its smartphone amid the US ban. The company has recently hosted the Huawei Developer Day Beijing and DIGIX Innovation Competition encouraging developers to make use of the upgraded capabilities of the HMS ecosystem.
In the event, Liu Dongfang, VP of Huawei marketing and Solutions, shared the achievement that the HMS made in the past time. He said that the HMS Core solution recorded that the number of developers exceeded 4 million at the end of May 2021.
Also, the number of applications on the HMS has reached 134,000 which is impressive progress made by Huawei. And looking at the stats, both the number of developers and applications have marked a double-digit year-on-year growth rate.
Following a high growth number, Huawei Mobile Services has now become the third-largest mobile app ecosystem in the world. Further, it is now offering more than 60 different capabilities for the developers.
It provides five parts of major services for map, search, payment, browsing, and advertising to help developers in gaining more customers. Moreover, the developers can also set the different kit interfaces as per their preference.
Besides this, the Chinese OEM also announced the availability of the HMS 6.0 for global users with further improvements and upgraded capabilities. This is what the current Corporate Senior VP and Director, Catherine Chen said:
“I believe that more and more people are gathering together through the HMS platform, and every shining star will help HMS’s ecosystem fire intensify and bring more excitement and creativity to the world.”
