Huawei refuses report on selling Honor smartphone business

It’s true that U.S. sanctions have made quite an impact on Huawei’s smartphone business, which led the company to stop making its flagship Kirin chipset and currently facing a shortage of chipset supplies due to the new curbs posted recently.

In the midst of all of these sanctions, a well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said Huawei may sell its sister smartphone company, Honor to make it independent and bypass the current sanctions.

Following this news, people related to this matter came in light and reportedly confirmed that Huawei will not sell Honor and the company will continue to operate under Huawei.

There are only a few times when Kuo missed the bull-eye and his record speaks for himself. So, if Huawei has such plans in its bag, we’ll eventually get to know about it.
