Huawei sold more than 12 million Mate 30 series smartphones, next goal 20 million

Huawei Mate 30 series officially unveiled in Berlin in September 2019 and doing robust sales in the Chinese market, reports Huawei Central.

Information from the industry chain reveals that shipments for Huawei Mate 30 series have exceeded 12 million units and expected to complete around 20 million units in overall sale time.

In November, Richard Yu, Huawei’s Consumer Business CEO announced that Huawei Mate 30 series shipped over 7 million units globally after its launch 60 days ago and a recorded increase of 75% year-on-year.

The source also shows that there are many form factors for this increase in shipments. For example, reductions in price from local sellers, specs, and popularity of early 5G models among Chinese consumers.

To achieve the target of 20 million units shipment, Huawei rolling out the Mate 30 smartphones in different countries and regions around the globe. The Huawei Mate 30 Pro is now officially available in European countries such as Germany, Spain, France, Italy and more.

Huawei Mate 30 comes pre-installed with Android 10 but due to the US restrictions, Huawei cannot certify new smartphones with Google’s mobile services (GMS). So the Mate 30 smartphones are equipped with Huawei Mobile Services (HMS) and not the GMS.
