Game Performance Matching Metrics

The Xbox app for Windows 10 and 11 can display hardware requirements for specific games. For the average player, though, these metrics may be too complicated. Microsoft recently added performance metrics to the Xbox app to help players understand how a particular game performs in simple terms, such as ” runs well on a similar computer. ”

According to the official introduction, Microsoft uses equipment similar to the player’s computer to estimate performance. If the application thinks the game is not running well on a specific configuration, it will display the hardware requirements in detail so that users can see more in-depth information and discover which parts of the hardware are not working well.

Improved game discoverability

Microsoft says the latest Xbox app update on PC brings significant navigation improvements that make it easier for players to find games to play. All navigation items are now in the sidebar, and players can track installs using a new queue.

Additionally, searches in the Xbox app are now more accurate. Search already reveals games from the Xbox Game Pass library, as well as EA Play and Ubisoft Connect. Finally, the homepage will support displaying more game collections.
