One UI 4.1 reportedly coming to the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy Note 20 in February 2022

Samsung is busy sending the stable Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update to the Galaxy smartphones. The company has already updated the Galaxy S21 series and Galaxy Z Fold 3/Flip 3 smartphones to the latest One UI version.

It seems now the company already heading up for the next version of One UI, which could be One UI 4.1. The next version will also be based on Android 12 OS, a minor upgrade over One UI 4.0.

One UI 4.1

According to a moderator in Samsung Korean Community (via Sammy Fans), the company will launch the Galaxy S22 series with pre-installed Android 12-based One UI 4.1. In addition, the company will update the Galaxy S21, S21+, S21 Ultra, Note 20, and Note 20 Ultra to One UI 4.1 in February 2022.

The official statement says (translated):

Galaxy S21 Ultra product One UI 4.1 software has February 2022 release date.

Currently, Galaxy S21, Note 20 series One UI 4.1 update is in progress, and we ask for your kind understanding as it is difficult to guide One UI 4.1 progress and schedule.

We are currently preparing for the review, and in the event of a future decision, we will notify you.

 

The company will most likely bring the minor One UI version upgrade to other flagship smartphones after the official release, the devices including Galaxy Z Flip 3, Z Fold 3, Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra.

We currently do not have any information about the features of the One UI 4.1 version but we will get it at the launch of the Galaxy S22 series.

As we know in the past, Samsung also released the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 version with the Galaxy S21 series, which brought only minor improvements over the One UI 3.0.
