OnePlus 11 is the first device to get a slot in the Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 wagon. And it looks like, this trend will follow till the stable release of the major upgrade. Probably, the latest flagship owners will be the first to taste the flavor of the dynamic OxygenOS version.
That’s just not an assumption but a ritual that the Chinese OEM has been following for a long time. Going into the flashbacks, the company has given the same treatment to the ultimate handset – OnePlus 10 Pro with the OxygenOS 13 software upgrade.
Last year, OnePlus was the first manufacturer to initiate the Android 13 (OxygenOS 13) developer preview program for its 10 Pro model. Leading the page, the respective device gained the first spot in the OxygenOS 13 upgrade sequence.
Though that’s a different point where every device in the brand got the rollout in almost every region on time, while the OnePlus 10 Pro kept reading ‘releasing in batches’ for an extended period. This was a little disappointing for fans who got excited with the news of the OnePlus 10 Pro is the first to attain OxygenOS 13.
But it seems like this won’t be the case this time. A delay is still there in timely rollouts. Yet, OnePlus has come a long route and is trying to return on track. Perhaps this time, we can expect that OnePlus 11 will be the first to get stable Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 on the ground.
As always, the tech giant rolled out the Android 14 beta (developer preview) for its handset alongside the wrap-up of the Google I/O event. The latest build for the OnePlus 11 comes with a few changes and gives an opportunity for the developers to adapt to the new functionalities of this OS.
