As per the latest information, OnePlus is merging with Oppo to provide more efficient and quality products such as bringing faster and more stable software updates for OnePlus users said, CEO Pete in the forum post.
Oppo and OnePlus have also shared their relations from past times when the CEO Pete himself worked for Oppo at a point in time. Since then both these Chinese tech firms have been together as a team to better streamline their operations and capitalize on additional shared resources.
Furthermore, the CEO said that OnePlus will still be an independent brand despite its integration with Oppo. It will keep working with an aim to provide quality products and services to the users under the umbrella of Oppo.
