Oppo Find X5 Pro users can now test Android 13 Beta 1 – ColorOS 13 Beta news

Oppo has started the Android 13 beta (ColorOS 13) program for Oppo Find X5 Pro users. You can check more information below.

Oppo’s Android 13 Developer Preview is based on Google Android 13 Beta1. This preview version will be integrated with the latest Google Mobile Services (GMS). The stock Android functions that are the same as GMS will be removed from this version.

The storage will be formatted after upgrading to this preview version. All your data (including music and images) will be erased. Therefore, back up your data before upgrading.

1) Backup method in ColorOS 12:

Go to “Settings – System settings – Back Up & migrate – Local backup – New backup” to back up your data.

2) After the backup completes, the backup file is stored in the backup folder under the root directory of your phone storage. Copy this file to your personal computer or any other device for storage.

How to flash OPPO Find X5 Pro to Android 13 Preview Version for Developers

 

Note: This preview version is still in the early development stage. After upgrading to the Android 13 preview version for developers, the phone storage will be formatted, and all data including music and pictures will be cleared. It is recommended to upgrade it carefully and make a backup.

 

• How to flash:

1) Back up the data to the computer or cloud before upgrading;

2) Download the Android 13 Developer Preview Upgrade Firmware Package and copy the Upgrade Firmware Package to the mobile phone storage root directory;

3) Go to “Settings – About device – Version” and click on Build number 7 times;

4) Go to “Settings – About device – Up to date – Click the top right button – Local install – Click the menu button in the top left corner”;

5) Click on the phone series name below – Click on the corresponding rollback package at the bottom of the page – Extract;

6) Wait for the extraction to finish and click “Install Now”;

7) Wait for the phone to restart and successfully upgrade to Android 13 Developer Preview version;

 

*Please note that if you are not able to click “Local install”, you can try the following steps to fix it:

1. Disconnect all Wi-Fi and Mobile data

2. Go to “Settings – Apps – App management – Click the top right button – Show system – Search ‘Software update’ in the search bar and tap it – Storage usage – Clear data”

3. Keep all networks disconnected and repeat the upgrade or rollback guide

This is a preview version of Android 13 for developers.

● Known issues ( OPPO Find X5 Pro)

1) Photos taken by the front camera may be displayed abnormally

2) The retouch effect may not be displayed after adjusting Retouch in the rear camera’s PORTRAIT mode and taking photos

3) The Camera may crash when taking photos in dark environment

4) The Compass may not display latitude and longitude

5) Flashback may happen when switching on and off 5G

6) Unable to display the usage of data

7) Abnormal operation may happen after tapping SIM application toolkit

8) Bluetooth headset aac may have no sound

9) The native browser may not open web pages

10) After upgrading, the desktop may not display Bilibili and Amap

11) Setting lock screen password will be required when accessing desktop after flashing the build or resetting to factory settings

12) Abnormal restart may happen after selecting “Restart now” in Capture logs

Note: As this DP1 upgrade is an inter-generational upgrade, the downgraded version of Android 11 is not an official release on the official website, so please proceed with caution. This upgrade method will clear all the contents of the mobile phone, please make sure to back up first.

 

 

How to flash OPPO Find X5 Pro to MP version (Stable official version)

 

Note: This upgrade method will clear all the contents of the mobile phone, please make sure to back up first.

 

1) Backup data to computer or cloud;

2) Download and refresh the Android 12 or Android 11 version upgrade firmware package, and copy the upgrade firmware package to the mobile phone storage root directory

3) Go to “Settings – About device – Version” and click on Build number 7 times;

4) Go to “Settings – About device – Up to date – Click the top right button – Local install – Click the menu button in the top left corner”;

5) Click on the phone series name below – Click on the corresponding rollback package at the bottom of the page – Extract;

6) If mobile phone backup is required, click “go to backup” in the pop-up box and try step 4 again after the backup is completed. If mobile phone backup is not required or the backup is completed, click “backup, continue” in the pop-up box;

7) Wait for the extraction to finish and click “Install Now”;

8) Wait for the phone to restart and successfully upgrade to Android 12 or Android 11 version;
