PUBG Mobile India will have to wait for approval from the government

Posted on

Recently, we reported that PUBG Mobile is coming back to India with a new name. However, PUBG Corporation hasn’t revealed exactly when the new game will be released in the country.

But the comeback may not that much easy as people think. Earlier, this app was banned in India by the country’s Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in September. The reason behind the banning was that the app engages in activities that suffer from prejudice to the sovereignty and integrity, defense, and security of the country.

As per the latest information, the government is taken aback by its decision, and “until they (PUBG Corporation) address the concerns, it will be difficult to give [PUBG Mobile] any leeway.”

PUBG Corporation announced a new game that has been created specifically for the Indian market – PUBG Mobile India. The company also planned to create an India subsidiary to “enhance communications and services with players.”

PUBG will hire over 100 employees specializing in business esports and game development, for the Indian subsidiary. To solve the data and privacy security-related concern, PUBG will conduct audits and verification on the storage systems holding the user’s personally identified, information to boost up the security.

If the government still claims that there are some doubts, then PUBG Corporation will have to make more changes in the new version ahead of the official launch.
