Samsung announces One UI 4.1.1 and One UI Watch 4.5 for older devices

Samsung officially launched the Android 12L/12-based One UI 4.1.1 and Wear OS 3.5-based One UI Watch 4.5 alongside its latest foldable phones and smartwatches earlier the last month. Now Samsung announced the One UI 4.1.1 and One UI Watch 4.5 for older Galaxy devices.

Going by the official information, Samsung will start the One UI 4.1.1 update rollout for Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 smartphones on September 5 and will gradually expand to older foldable devices worldwide.

About One UI Watch 4.5, Samsung says besides the Watch 4 series, older Galaxy smartwatch users will also be able to enjoy a software update that delivers selected features.

One UI 4.1.1: What’s new

With One UI 4.1.1, Samsung brings Taskbar to let you access and switch between apps faster than ever, new productivity and camera features that are designed to make already powerful devices more intuitive, swipe to open apps in Split-screen feature, and more for Fold devices.

Meanwhile, Flippable phones are getting a Flexible camera that lets you see the preview and take photos on a cover screen, new functionalities to the Cover Screen to make calls, reply to text messages, and other features.

One UI Watch 4.5: What’s new

Samsung is assigning older Galaxy Watch users a more complete watch experience, including more customization options and added features that bring benefits to their everyday lives.

It brings six new colorful and interactive watch faces and a palette of fresh new colors, support for a full QWERTY keyboard, new accessibility features, and much more.
