Samsung sold the largest number of smartphones in Q3 2020 in the United States. Samsung beats the rival Apple for the first time in three years, according to market researcher Strategy Analytics, as reported by South Korean media.
In the July-September period, Samsung secured 33.7% in the US smartphone market, 6.7% more than a year earlier. This is the first time since the Q2 2017 that Samsung topped the US smartphone market.
Thanks to solid sales of the newly launched Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, mid-range, and bugets smartphones. In addition, some experts said the late launch of the iPhone 12 series also helped Samsung secured first spot in the US.
