Samsung surpassed Apple to reclaim the top position in the global smartphone market in February 2021

Earlier, the market research firm, Strategy Analytics, reported that Samsung is expected to become the top brand in the smartphone market this year despite the heavy competition from the other smartphone makers.

Until the third quarter of last year, Samsung continued to be the world’s leading smartphone brand with the largest market share. Likewise, the company is already planning to capture the smartphone market by introducing a number of new devices.

According to the latest information from South Korea is that Samsung is back in first place in the first quarter of 2021. The MorungExpress reported that the company topped global smartphone sales in February. And Apple lost the company’s top position in the last quarter of 2020 due to high sales of the iPhone 12 series.

As per the report, the South Korean tech giant almost beat Apple at the end of the early release of the Galaxy S21 series. The company, which has a 23.1 percent market share last month, exported 24 million phones. The Cupertino-based company sold 23 million units with a market share of 22.2 percent.

Samsung had a market share of 15.6 percent, while Apple had 25.4 percent in January, and the pre-exports 26 percent more than a year ago, and even 12% more than the pre-pandemic levels in February 2019. However, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi was third with 11.5 percent, followed by Vivo 10.6 percent, and Oppo 8.5 percent.

Galaxy S21 series help Samsung to take the lead in the global market!

From the start of the Galaxy S21 series, Samsung is expected to boost global exports and acquire market share in the US-banned Huawei.

The market share between Samsung and Apple was typically 5 percentage points in February, but due to strong sales of the US technology giant iPhone 12 series, the gap narrowed to just one percent at this time.
