SMIC’s foundry prices will be adjusted across the board from today

On April 1st, citing sources, stated that SMIC, a leading Chinese foundry manufacturer, informed its customers via email that SMIC’s foundry prices will be adjusted across the board from April 1. The order remains at the original price, and orders that have been placed but not online will be executed at the new value regardless of the order time and payment ratio.

In addition, another source pointed out that SMIC has already started to increase prices in March this year, and the price increase range varies from customer to customer, and the 8-inch and 12-inch orders have different increases. On the whole, this round of cost raises is about 15% to 30%.


It is worth mentioning that due to the global shortage of cores, many foundries such as the front-end Semiconductor Manufacturing Company have already announced price increases, and SMIC is one of the later manufacturers. The above-mentioned industry chain people believe that most customers will also understand it.
