Snapdragon 4 Gen 1:

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 is made for even more affordable Android smartphones. It is based on a 6nm process and brings 10% proven GPU performance and up to 15% better CPU performance compared to its predecessor – Snapdragon 480.

This chipset is limited to LPDDR4X RAM, clocked at 2,133MHz. It can adapt up to three 13MP cameras, a 25MP + 13MP dual camera system, or a single 32MP camera.

Its image signal processor also supports 1080p single video capture at 60 frames per second, 1080p dual video capture at 30 frames per second, 720p slow motion video capture at 120 frames per second, and HEIC photo capture.

Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 equips a 5G radio compatible with sub-6GHz networks. Its connectivity options also include dual-frequency GPS, Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, NFC, and USB 3.1 Type-C. It is compatible with Quick Charge 4+.

Moving on, currently, there’s no official information on which phones will equip the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 or Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset. It’s expected that the SD 4 Gen 1 phones might start shipping this month and the SD 6 Gen 1 devices will unveil in early 2023.
