TWRP builds are now available for Galaxy Tab S7+ and Z Fold 2

TWRP is the most popular custom recovery for Android phones and tablets, it gives you the tools to flash custom ROMs, restore, backup, and more.

The unofficial TWRP ROM’s are now available for Samsung Galaxy Tab S7+ and Galaxy Z Fold 2. Thanks to ianmacd from XDAforum, who compiled the latest TWRP 3-4.0 codebase. Currently, the set of recovery images has been successfully booted on the Galaxy Tab S7+ 5G (SM-T976B) and Galaxy Z Fold 2 (SM-F916B).

To download the TWRP click on the link given below:

Conditions of TWRP installation:

  • A model with an unlockable bootloader,
  • The US versions not suitable for modding because it is locked,
  • Installing a third-party binary will permanently trip Knox
  • Permanently lose access to Samsung Pay and security features such as Secure Folder

It is worth mentioning that you have to flash a dummy vbmeta.img besides the recovery image to properly boot TWRP on your device.

Download the latest TWRP image file (.img) from the above download link and boot TWRP. Go to install and find and select the Images… button. Browse to the image that you downloaded and select it.

According to the developer, “The custom recovery doesn’t support Samsung’s proprietary file-based encryption (FBE). If you disable the auto-encryption routine and subsequently format the data partition, you should be able to perform data backup/restore using TWRP. Moreover, MTP is broken in these ports, but you can disable MTP in TWRP Mount settings and use ADB to push files from the computer to the device (or vice-versa).”
