Xiaomi’s MIUI 13 is about to enter the market. But when? It hasn’t been cleared yet. Many leaks and rumors are surfacing online regarding its launch schedule. Meanwhile, recently, the Redmi GM hints at its early launch.
Later in the last week, Xiaomi officially released the list of devices that will get the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced version update in the third phase, which has been already started and will stay live till the end of December 2021.

Sharing that post, LuWeibing, who is the General Manager of Redmi indicated that MIUI 1x is not far behind. This clearly means that MIUI 13 could debut in December, likely alongside Xiaomi 12 launch.
To be mentioned, the current generation of MIUI, MIUI 12.5 was released with Mi 11 smartphones in December 2020. Hence, there is a high chance that Xiaomi may repeat history in this generation.
Xiaomi MIUI 13: What we know so far
The most important changes in the current MIUI 12 will be in the design and look. MIUI 13 will reportedly come with new animations and fonts. It will also have redesigned app icons and refreshed wallpapers.
Recently, we have seen some screenshots of the upcoming MIUI 13. The images show that the MIUI files that are being internally tested have adopted a brand-new interface design style. The homepage can be customized as well.
Adding to documents, pictures, videos, music, compressed packages, installation packages, transmission, and downloads, users can also place screenshots, cameras, WeChat, Baidu Cloud, and other folders on the homepage for more direct access.
Aside from this, the MIUI 13 will reportedly bring a RAM extension feature to further expand a device’s storage by 3GB. The optimized Dark Mode will avoid being applied in applications that have their own dark mode, it will deactivate itself completely on detection of such apps.
