On the flip side, another OnePlus 7 user reported that the refresh rate automatically drops from 90Hz to 60Hz. This is happening from the moment the user installed the OxygenOS 12 software update to his device.

“After updating to OOS 12, the refresh rate drops on its own even after bring on 90Hz mode. And I have to change it every time from 60Hz to 90Hz again. Please fix this in the next update.”

To aid the issue, a few consumers suggested trying third-party apps that can maintain the refresh rate in the device. However, the user didn’t receive any benefit from the given suggestion.

These issues mostly hinder your visual experience on the device. As a result, it could impact your eyes and put forth strain conditions. For a long time, the OnePlus 7 series hasn’t obtained any updates. Let’s see whether the company drops an improved firmware for these issues or not.
