OnePlus will unveil the dynamic features of OxygenOS 13.1 at the Nord Launch Event. Meanwhile, OxygenOS 14 could introduce a useful element that will make it easier to enter a security PIN on your OnePlus phone, even when you are in the midst of the public.

Yes! We are talking about the Enhanced PIN Privacy feature that might make its way to OnePlus OxygenOS 14 upgrade, and let you enter security codes more efficiently.

The story outline begins when Google released the second beta for Android 13 QPR3. While the firmware mainly consists of bug fixes and improvements, we caught our eye on the significant privacy feature that will be available with Android 14 namely – Enhanced PIN Privacy.

According to the inputs revealed by XDA developers, this tool resides in the Settings menu. One can navigate to the Security & Privacy > Device Lock to access the new feature when it comes live in the time ahead. Further, the description of the function reads – “Disable animations while entering the PIN”.

Eventually, the animation that normally plays when you tap any number on the keyguard won’t be shown, once you enabled this feature. In other words, the lock screen will not show any visual prints for the numbers you tap.

As a result, the shoulder leaners won’t be able to see what PIN have you entered to run into your device. Thus, you don’t have to think twice about your security in a people-surrounded area.

OxygenOS 14 could bring it too!

Since the feature is likely to be available with the Android 14 upgrade, a probability is we may find it in OxygenOS 14 as well.

OnePlus knows what’s best for its users. In the latest software development, the company has concentrated on the privacy and security aspects of its devices. In addition, some tweaks regarding the lock screen are also on the list. Hence, we could assume this prominent tool for the upcoming major OxygenOS upgrade.
