Configure your Xbox Series X S to support FPS boost and auto HDR Xbox support

Microsoft proudly announced that 74 more games will run significantly faster on its new consoles. FPS Boost, which dramatically increases the frame rate of games on the new Xbox consoles at the expense of picture quality, now works with 97 projects from various studios.

Among the projects that have just begun to support Microsoft technology are Assassin’s Creed Unity, Deus Ex Mankind Divided, Wasteland 3, Far Cry 5, and many other games from various publishers.

Just a week ago, the mode was used in 13 games published by EA, 12 of which started working at 120 fps. Bethesda games were sped up in March. Back in April, the total number of games with FPS Boost support was only 23.

In some instances, because there are higher graphics requirements to enable FPS Boost technology, we’ve had to reduce a game’s resolution to ensure it both runs smoothly and plays great.

In those select cases, FPS Boost is not automatically enabled for Xbox Series X gamers, but can easily be turned on under the Compatibility Options in the Manage game and add-ons setting. To experience FPS Boost and to be able to toggle the feature on and off, make sure your console has taken the latest update and you’ve rebooted your console.
