Qualcomm’s upcoming mid-range processor is the Snapdragon 780G 5G

Qualcomm is working on a new processor under the Snapdragon 700 series and the chipset is spotted as the Snapdragon 780G 5G which is a powerful mid-range SoC. It comes with many improvements in the CPU, GPU, AI Engine, ISP, and more.

This new chip is yet to be announced by the company and ahead of the official announcement, a German blog has already spotted the press release along with its detailed specifications. Like the flagship processors of Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 780G 5G is also based on the latest 5nm process.

This Octa-core processor is said to be made by Samsung and equipped with two Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. It comes with Andreno 642 GPU which is responsible for ultra-smooth gaming.

The chipset has a triple ISP called the Spectra 570 which is been used for the first time in the Snapdragon 7-series. This means that we are going to see some extraordinary low-light photography.

Qualcomm uses a Snapdragon X53 modem-RF System which is capable of providing a download speed of up to 3.3Gbps on sub 6GHz frequencies. Additionally, it also supports WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2 and has the same audio technology used in the Snapdragon 888.
