Tesla and Uber joined a partnership to supply cars to London drivers: Report

According to the latest report, Tesla will collaborate with Uber to provide electric vehicles to Uber’s London drivers. Uber said that drivers interested in environmentally friendly vehicles will be able to rent or buy Tesla cars.

Uber’s goal is that by 2025, every Uber in London will be fully electric. In 2019, Uber introduced a clean air fee that charges an extra 3 pence for every mile of Uber in the city.

The proceeds from this fee will be used for drivers who wish to switch to electric vehicles. According to Reuters, more than 135 million pounds of fees have been charged.

It is worth mentioning that the previous week, the car rental company Hertz announced that it will provide drivers with 50,000 Tesla cars by 2023.

Furthermore, more than 4,000 Uber drivers in London have switched to electric vehicles, more than any other major city in the world.
