iOS 14.5 Tips and Tricks: Use ‘Picture-in-Picture’ mode in iPhone 12 series

In iPhone 12 series running on the iOS 14.5, picture-in-picture (PiP) mode is one of the most popular features so far.

But it’s a relatively straightforward process as you’re playing a video or using a compatible app, just swipe upwards from the bottom of the screen to return to the home screen.

This will make the video preview appear and will continue to play as you browse through other apps.

Moreover, you can pinch or spread your fingers to make the video larger, swipe the video off the screen to hide it while the audio still plays, tap it to make video controls appear, or double-tap it to resize the video automatically.

Unfortunately, the one big video app that doesn’t support PiP by default is YouTube. You have to pay for a Premium subscription for YouTube to unlock the feature.
