OnePlus 9 Pro 120Hz Display

The OnePlus 9 Pro offers a 6.7-inch Fluid AMOLED display with 1440 x 3216 pixels resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for an ultra-smooth display experience. It equips a new generation’s most advanced mobile display, integrating low-temperature polycrystalline oxide (LTPO) technology.

What is the difference between 60Hz and 120Hz display refresh rate?

The refresh rate in any smartphone is responsible for making its display smooth and basically, it’s how many times the display content refreshes in a second. So, if it’s 60Hz then a display is refreshed 60 times in a second. While if you set it to 120Hz, this will provide twice as smooth a display compared to 60Hz.

The 120Hz display option can make your phone deliver an immersive display experience while streaming videos. If you want to use the 120Hz feature on your OnePlus 9 Pro then here’s how you can do it.

How to set 120Hz refresh rate on OnePlus 9 Pro:

  • Go to ‘Settings’
  • Select ‘Display’
  • Now, look for ‘Advanced’ option in the Display setting
  • Inside the Advanced you’ll see five options:
    • Screen Calibration
    • Resolution
    • Refresh Rate
    • Front Camera Display Area
    • Apps to display in Fullscreen
  • Choose ‘Refresh Rate’
  • Here you can set the display option from ‘Standard 60Hz’ to a ‘Smart 120Hz’

Remember that by setting the higher 120Hz refresh rate display option, the device will consume more battery than usual, but at the same time, it will also provide an ultra-smooth display experience. While the standard 60Hz won’t take much power consumption.
