Along with the new phone, Google is launching Android 12 for existing Pixel devices today. In addition to Material You and revamped quick settings, it features the October security patch. Anyways, in the most recent Android Security & Privacy Year in Review, Google notes that “no significant security vulnerabilities affecting the Android platform were publicly disclosed without security updates or mitigations available for Android devices.”
