Android 14 beta 3 causing fingerprint sensor issues for Pixel users

Android 14 beta 3 has entered the consumer ground with many new fixes, but still, some users are complaining about issues related to the fingerprint sensor. According to the information, several Pixel owners reported this defect after the upgrade.

Eventually, Android 14 beta 3 has broken the fingerprint sensor and constantly caused issues with the respective functionality. As per the details, after upgrading to the latest firmware, Pixel users were unable to operate the fingerprint sensor of their devices.

Any settings or user interface elements that are integrated into the sensor have disappeared. One only has the option to use a PIN/password/pattern to unlock the device. This also applies to apps such as password managers that may use the fingerprint sensor.

The information further hints that the issue is mainly occurring in the Pixel 6, Pixel 6 Pro, and Pixel 6a devices. Notably, this defect is not troubling every user. However, it is still a point of concern as users are not able to use the most significant element of the smartphone.

There’s no obvious fix or solution for this problem at the moment. Though a factory reset may fix the error. Rolling back to a previous version of Android can also help out with the issue.
