Android 14 developer preview

Google started working on the next major version of Android, Android 14. The Android 14 first developer preview was released in early February 2023 and brings information about the upcoming features in the OS.

Android 14 optimizes the way apps work together, improves system health and battery life, and polishes the end-user experience.

According to the testing schedule, just like the Android 13’s testing phase, we will see developer previews in February and March. Google will start releasing beta builds starting in April, and platform stability in June. You can expect stable Android 14 OS to reach smartphones by August this year.

Google has already released the first Android DP in early February 2023 and aims to release the DP2 in March. We will see the first Beta build in April, the second in May, the third in June, and in July we will see Beta 4 and Beta 5 builds. The final release of Android 13 will be there by the end of Q3 2023.
