Android 14 first beta update causes fingerprint issue for Pixel users

Google has recently pushed off the first Android 14 beta update for the Pixel devices but looks like the respective device owners are not satisfied to see a strange fingerprint issue in this upgrade.

According to the information, the Android 14 beta has welcomed a nasty fingerprint issue for the Pixel handsets. Consequently, users are not able to unlock their phones using fingerprint sensors.

On the Google Issue Tracker and Reddit platform, users are constantly reporting issues with this matter. Besides, it seems as if the bugs are not only related to the fingerprint sensor but other segments of the device as well.

“It’s really bad. Don’t install it on your main phone. Everything lags and crashes …had to roll back to 13 since the fingerprint disappeared and lost signal. Unfortunately, for me, this beta isn’t daily driveable.”

On the side hand, some users are also facing errors in the Wallpaper and Style feature, as it crashes immediately, at times of opening it.

Since it is a beta firmware, expecting stability for the devices would be wrong for the moment. However, we hope that Google will bring out a solution for the mentioned issues with the next version.
