On July 12, Nothing one introduced the first smartphone phone (1). Soon after the launch, the smartphone justified the hype it had created last year. The affordable Nothing Phone 1 can easily beat the flagship device offered at almost double the price of this phone.
The Nothing Phone 1 runs a very light yet very stylish Android skin called Nothing OS on Android 12. The Nothing OS is a trimmed version of OnePlus’ OxygenOS 12 (Android 12). The first thing that caught Nothing OS’s attention was that the initial phone setup interface, including the Google signup screen, was completely black.
The main interface is similar to typical stock Android. The first is the ability to make app icons appear huge on the home screen, which can be useful for those who want to have an app or two on the home screen for easy access.
With Nothing OS inside the smartphone, it should provide an almost stock Android experience without unnecessary bloatware. Nothing says it’s a minimalist skin without a set of useful features and bloatware that will only improve the user experience.
The company claims that the software provides an open ecosystem, allowing users to control third-party products without the need for a separate app. Note that Nothing Promises 3 Years of Android Updates and 4 Years of Security Patches every two months for the device.
However, this article tracks all software updates that have been deployed to the Nothing Phone1. In addition, you can download Nothing OS (Android 12) builds for your Phone 1.
