Google added another layer of security to the Chrome Android incognito tabs with fingerprint unlocking. Now you can keep your browsing history private under your fingerprint.
The users need the biometric authentication everytime after leaving the Chrome app as the new feature will instantly lock the tabs. This feature first arrived on some Google apps on iOS in the year 2020.
And now, Android counterparts are getting this compatibility to provide a secure browsing experience to its users.
After relaunching your browser you will see a gray screen with the incognito logo at the center everytime you try to open the tabs. Further, you can see the unlock Incognito tab at the bottom of the screen. This you can clearly see in the following image.
Now, click on the tab to verify its you. You can also use PIN code to lock the tabs.
It’s up to the users that whether they want to lock or unlock their tabs.
To enable this feature users need to navigate through the Privacy and Security settings of the app. Then select the Lock Incognito tabs when you leave Chrome.
What is Chrome incognito mode?
In this mode your search history or private information doesn’t show up in the Chrome search record. Hence, it keeps your record safe from the creepy peoples.
This feature is still not available for many users but you can enable it quickly on the recent versions of Android with the Chrome flag given below.

However, all the Android users could soon get this incognito fingerprint lock feature on Google Chrome.
