Carrier-unlocked Samsung Galaxy S20 getting November 2022 security update in the US

Samsung has picked up great speed in seeding the remaining devices with the latest month’s security patch. Recently, the unlocked models of Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra have started collecting the November 2022 firmware update in the US.

The motive of this latest security patch is to provide your device an optimized performance, by improving security and stability. Users of Galaxy S20 will be able to determine the November 2022 update through the build version mentioned below.

  • Galaxy S20: G981U1UES3FVK1
  • Galaxy S20+: G986U1UES3FVK1
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra: G988U1UES3FVK1

Samsung S20 September 2022 updateNotably, the South Korean tech giant is also rolling out its Android 13-based One UI 5.0 major update for eligible devices, whereas the carrier-unlocked Galaxy S20 users are still waiting to grab it. Other regions including India, Malaysia, Germany, and so on have already got access to it.

We can expect the Android 13 rollout soon for unlocked Galaxy S20 users in the US. However, the latest patch also brings fixes for several vulnerabilities of Samsung and Google including 3 critical, 32 high, and 1 moderate level of CVEs alongside 26 SVE.

To download the latest update manually, just open the Settings of your Galaxy S20, now scroll down and tap on the Software update section. Here look for the latest version and once you find it, press the Download and Install button, then reboot your phone.
