Oppo F15 receiving stable Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 update

Finally, Oppo is releasing a stable Android 11 based ColorOS 11.1 update for Oppo Reno2 Z users in India. It comes with a bunch of new features and optimizations to enhance the user’s experience.

Back in 2020, Oppo officially unveiled the F15 smartphone in India which comes with a 6.4-inch AMOLED, 4000mAh Long-lasting battery, quad-camera setup, and more. The phone is pre-installed with Android 9 Pie-based ColorOS 6.1.

The company already released the Android 11 based ColorOS 11 beta update for Oppo F15 users in India. Based on Google’s latest Android 11, the ColorOS 11 comes with many features such as customizable Always on Display (AOD), Customizable Dark Mode, Oppo Relax 2.0, and much more.

Now, the company has begun to roll out the stable build of Android 11-based ColorOS 11.1 for OPPO F15.  As per Oppo’s rollout schedule, F15 should have received a stable update of Android 11 in India on March 17 but it comes earlier than what was decided.

However, Oppo has already started to send this update to a limited number of users. If no errors are found, this rollout will begin in a few days.

Previously, Oppo released the stable Android 11-based ColorOS 11 to the Oppo Find X2 and Find X2 Pro. It comes with several new features including a new always-on display, new privacy feature, and more.

How to update:

  • Open Settings
  • Go into Software Updates
  • Click the Settings icon on the screen
  • Apply for Official Version
  • Finally, tap on Download and install button.

Note: Currently, this update only rolling out for India and will be available for more regions in the coming days.
