OPPO has started releasing the Android 12 based ColorOS 12 public beta recruitment for the second batch of devices. OPPO Reno6 Pro, Find X2 and other models have already received the ColorOS 12 pubic beta update.

Previously, OPPO announced an upgrade and adaptation plan for ColorOS 12. The official version for these devices will be pushed on November 25.

How to Register?
- Please make sure that the phone version has been upgraded to the basic version. (How to check the version number: Settings> About phone> Version information> Version number)
- Please click “Settings> Software Update> Settings button in the upper right corner> Upgrade early adopters> Upgrade public beta” on the phone, and then apply according to the prompts.
Important Notes
1) The upgraded public beta version is still in the development stage, and its operating effect is not as stable as the official version. The version may have some bugs, abnormal power consumption, and other issues. If you are looking for long-term stable use of mobile phones, please register carefully.
2) Before the upgrade, please back up your important personal data in advance to avoid data loss due to incompatibility or other circumstances after the upgrade.
3) There are still many commonly used third-party applications that are not compatible with Android 12, such as Bank of China, personal income tax, Kuaishou (please click to understand for the specific list), etc., so third-party applications may not work normally after the upgrade. The compatibility of third-party applications depends on the adaptation of each manufacturer to the Android 12 system. If you often and must use the third-party applications in the list, it is recommended that you carefully upgrade the public beta version.
4) Within two days after the upgrade, a series of adaptation and optimization actions will be carried out in the background of the system, which may cause the phone to experience heat, freeze, and fast power consumption. It is recommended that you restart the phone after charging for 2 hours after the upgrade, or after a period of normal use, it will recover by itself.
5) The following known issues exist in the upgraded public beta version. Please consider registering carefully after reading it.
Some Known Issues
- Quit the game in landscape mode, the desktop will automatically switch to landscape mode for a short time, and then return to normal.
- In the Honor of Kings game, the WeChat floating window cannot use fingerprint payment.
- Probabilistic and automatic disconnection of WLAN.
- The camera freezes when recording video in 4K 60 frame mode.
- The notification permission of some apps will be opened automatically.
- There is no response when clicking the global search on the desktop.
- The background application crashes under the condition of low running memory.
