EMUI 11 beta and October 2020 update released for Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro

Huawei is rolling out a new software update for the Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro in China, this update brings new software optimizations under the EMUI 11 beta testing as well as October security.

Recently, Huawei released stable EMUI 11 for Huawei P40, Mate 30, and MatePad Pro devices in China and other users outside of the Chinese market may expect its rollout by December this year. However, the possibility of delay or an early release could not rule out.

EMUI 11 VERSION:

  • Huawei Nova 7 and Nova 7 Pro receiving EMUI 11 version 11.0.0.130 from 11.0.0.125

EMUI 11 CHANGELOG:

Gallery: Optimizes the video editing features in the Gallery app and supports the creation of short, personalized videos.

System: Optimizes system stability of some situations

Security: Integrates Android security patches released in October 2020 for improved system security

  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings in your device
  2. Click on system & updates
  3. Click on the software update
  4. Check for updates
  5. Click on the download button
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears on the screen
  8. Reboot the device

Through Support app:

  1. Open Support app on your device
  2. If not installed, download it from the Play store
  3. Open service tab
  4. Tap on update
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
  9. Reboot the device
