New display, system and security improvements released for Huawei P40 Lite 5G (EMUI 10.1)

Huawei launched the P40 Lite 5G phone in May 2020 that came with a bunch of features such as the Kirin 820 5G processor, 6.5-inch display with 1080 x 2400p resolution, 6GB RAM, and much more. The smartphone comes with the EMUI 10.1 pre-installed and will soon get the latest EMUI 11 version.

Meanwhile, the users are waiting to experience the features of the latest OS, the company is sending a new software update that installs December 2020 security patch. Further, it also brings improvements for the display to enhance the screen effect and system stability for a better user interface.

These optimizations for the Huawei P40 5G can be identified with the EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.1.215 along with an update size of 683MB. Other than these sorts of improvements, this update does not bring any new features to the device.

The update is currently released in Europe and will soon expand to other regions as well. Also it is rolling out in batches so it may take some time to reach your device. If you have received this update on you smartphone then here are the steps to download.

How to update:

Download via Settings:

Open Settings > then click on System & updates. After opening a Software update, tap on Check for updates option. If the update is available to download then click Download and install. And after installation Reboot the device.

Download via Support app:

Open the Support app on your device and then go to the Service tab. Click on the Update button and then tap on Check for update option. If the update is available then click on Download and install. After installation Reboot the device.
