Honor 20 and 20 Pro getting May 2020 security update

Honor is rolling a new software update with May 2020 security patch for Honor 20 and 20 Pro users. This update brings support for the third-party app, optimizes the WLAN connection as well as improves system security.

The May 2020 update brings security patches from Huawei and Google, that fixes different levels of exploits and issues within Huawei phones including 2 critical and 22 high and 2 Medium levels of CVEs.

SOFTWARE INFORMATION:

May 2020 update for Honor 20 series comes with the EMUI version 10.1.0.160 upgrading from EMUI version 10.1.0.135(Honor 20) and  10.1.0.135/150(Honor 20 Pro).

Important: Software version, size, and rollout availability could be different in different countries.

HOW TO CHECK FOR UPDATE:

[Through Settings] Settings – System & updates – Software update – CHECK FOR UPDATES – Download and install.

[Through Support App] Open Support App – Service Tab – Update – CHECK FOR UPDATES – Download and install.
