Huawei Mate 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Porsche Design are receiving Smart Charging, April security update and more [EMUI 10.0.0.170]

Huawei Mate 10 series owners are getting a major upgrade in China (via Huawei Central). The Multi-Screen collaboration feature was under beta testing in China, and now the users on EMUI 10 receiving a stable software package that brings a number of big features for this three-year-old flagship lineup.

Here’s the list of eligible Huawei and Honor devices that will get EMUI 11 and Magic UI 4.0

This update for Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro, and Mate 10 Porsche Design brings new features including Multi-Screen collaboration, Screen sharing, Smart charging, and the latest security patch of April.

Multi-Screen Collaboration:

The Multi-Screen Collaboration allows you to connect the phone to your laptop. Once connected, the phone screen will automatically pop up on the laptop. You can then easily check your content of your phone using a larger screen.

Screen Sharing:

During a call, you can share your screen and doodle on it for both parties to convey messages with each other even more effectively. For example, show your parents how to use their phone by talking to them while operating on your phone. When discussing with your colleagues and customers over a call, you can demonstrate your idea and make notes on the screen.

Smart Charging:

Smart Charging preserves battery health by adapting your charging routine. When necessary, charging may be paused to delay charging your device to 100% until you need it.

Security:

Integrates Android security patches released in April 2020 for improved system security. The April 2020 security update for Huawei Nova 5T brings security patches from Google and brings fixes to 5 critical, 12 high, and 1 medium level of Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE).
