Likewise, Huawei Nova 7i users are now grabbing a new firmware update that installs the January 2021 security update.
The latest update for the Nova 7i comes with a security patch released in January 2021. The patch improves the system security by fixing 4 critical, 1 medium, and 25 high levels of CVE’s. Other than improving the system security, it does not bring any other new features or changes for the phone.
The Nova 7i users can easily identify this firmware bearing EMUI 10.1 version 10.1.0.298 and have a size of 172MB. It is currently rolling out in batches, so it may take some time to reach your device.

Download via Settings:
- Open Settings
- Click on the System & updates
- Open Software update
- Tap on Check for updates option
- If an update is available, click on Download and install
- After installation Reboot the device
