Huawei releasing HarmonyOS security update for Huawei Mate X2 smartphones which will fix many issues and threats and further boost the system security and performance. The latest update mainly brings February 2022 security update.

February 2022 update for Huawei Mate X2 arrived with HarmonyOS 2.0 build number 2.0.0.223. To grab the latest firmware, the corresponding device owner required baseline version 2.0.0.222.
According to details, the update brings fixes for 1 CVE in the kernel, 1 CVE in the system, and 40 CVEs in the third-party libraries. This bunch of bug fixes enhances the performance of the smartphone.

Here is how to install the latest update:
There are three methods to update your device. First, when OTA update notification pop-up on the device. Simply tap on the download option followed by install. Aside from this, you can update manually through settings and the My Huawei app.
Open Settings on your phone, tap on system & updates followed by software updates. From here, click on CHECK FOR UPDATES and let the phone fetch the latest update for you. If an update is found, download and install it.
Alternatively, go to my Huawei app and then visit the update section as well as follow on-screen instructions to download and install the update.
