Huawei Mate 40 series first update brings new artistic theme, optimizations for camera and more

Huawei has revealed its flagship series – Huawei Mate 40 series on October 22 at the global launch conference for global consumers and in China on October 30.

This flagship series equipped with the latest hardware and software technology that includes 5nm Kirin 9000 processor, professional camera technology, pre-installed EMUI 11, and much more.

Now, Huawei has released the first software update for the Huawei Mate 40 series which brings a new artistic theme, optimizations for the camera, audio, and fixes some bugs in system stability.

  • Huawei Mate 40 Pro+
  • Huawei Mate 40 RS Porsche Design

NEW VERSION:

  • Huawei Mate 40 series upgraded to EMUI 11.0.0.125 SP1 from EMUI 11.0.0.120 SP3

*Currently, this update is rolling out in China

CHANGELOG:

Themes: The new theme connects every screen with coherent animation, visually flexible and unified from the off-screen display to the lock screen, and then to the desktop

Camera: Optimizes the camera effect of the wide-angle, night scene, Leica, and other modes to optimize the experience of using video scenes and improve picture clarity

Audio: Optimizes the audio output effect for a better audio experience

System: Fix the problem that the brightness bar adjustment in some scenes does not take effect and optimizes the system stability

POINTS TO KEEP IN MIND BEFORE UPDATE:

  • The update will not erase any data
  • It may take some time to reach your device
  • Maintain enough storage and battery
  • If possible, connect to WiFi

UPDATE INSTRUCTIONS:

Through Setting:

  1. Open Settings on your device
  2. Click on system & updates
  3. Click on the software update
  4. Check for updates
  5. Click on the download button
  6. Install updates
  7. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
  8. Reboot the device

Through Support app:

  1. Open the Support app on your device
  2. If not installed, download it from the play store
  3.  Open service tab
  4. Tap on update
  5. Check for updates
  6. Click on the download button
  7. Install updates
  8. After completion of the installation, the reboot option appears onscreen
  9. Reboot the device
